Candidates' Forum.  Special Election.

Candidates' Forum March 24, 2010

A Special Election was held on April 13, 2010 to fill the seat in California State Assembly District 43 left vacant when Assembly Member Paul Krekorian won a seat on the Los Angeles City Council.

The Glendale/Burbank League held a Candidates' Forum on March 24 in the Burbank City Council Chambers. The Forum was broadcast live on Burbank TV6 and repeated many times prior to the election.

The public was invited to submit questions to the candidates. We were delighted by the large number of questions we received through the website.

At the Forum, the Council Chambers were filled to maximum capacity. League Member and Moderator Rita Zwern asked the questions, and there was a lively exchange.

June 8, 2010 Special Election

Here are the results:

• Mike Gatto, Democratic ................ 23,733 votes 58.58%
• Sunder Ramani, Republican ........... 16,778 votes 41.42%
