The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy.
Our League sponsored candidate forums for the Burbank and the Glendale City Council and School Board elections; see the Calendar for links to watch these events on local government television channels or on YouTube. The League of Women Voters never supports or opposes candidates for office, or political parties. Any use of the League of Women Voters name in campaign advertising or literature has not been authorized by the League.
For additional information about voting, registration, your personal ballot and the statewide ballot propositions, visit our websites at SmartVoter and CAVotes. Also see the City of Burbank's Public Service Announcement about the importance of exercising your right to vote, and how to complete your mail-in ballot.
You can now register to vote online! Visit the website of the Los Angeles County Registrar.
The first important event this League year is the LWV Los Angeles County Convention on March 26th.
Also on the calendar is the LWVUS Covention 2016, which provides great opportunities to learn, participate and have fun with members from across the country.
